Harley-Davidson FXDC Dyna Super Glide

The Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide motorcycle is absolutely unique among other similar motorcycles. The reason for this is the fact that this machine has the hand-written signature of Pope Francis on the fuel tank. Harley-Davidson company decided to dedicate the motorcycle to the Holy Father on the occasion of the company's 110th anniversary. However, the Pope never rode the Harley, instead he donated it for auction. The Pope wanted to raise funds for the restoration of the church and the soup kitchen for the needy in Rome.

There was a huge demand for the motorcycle when it was auctioned at the Bonhams sale at the Grand Palais in Paris in 2014.

Harley-Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic

A unique Harley-Davidson motorcycle, blessed with the signature of Pope Benedict XVI and later presented to Pope Francis, was auctioned in 2015 as part of the Bonhams Auction at the Grand Palais in Paris.

Two commemorative motorcycle fuel tanks were presented to Pope Benedict XVI to celebrate Harley-Davidson's 110th anniversary. One motorcycle with the signed tank remained on display at the Harley-Davidson Museum in the USA and the second FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic was waiting to be handed over at the ceremony. Since Benedict XVI abdicated in 2013, the motorcycle was presented to the newly inaugurated Pope Francis. The motorcycle also boasts the signature of Willie G. Davidson, grandson of the founder of the legendary Harley-Davidson motorcycle company.

The proceeds from the auction of this unique motorcycle were donated to the Polish non-profit organisation Stowarzyszenie Przyjazny Świat Dziecka, which supports children and families in need.
